Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is one of the most anticipated movies of 2014. Before the official film trailer can be released, Entertainment Tonight has premiered a special five minute behind the scenes video of the new film featuring Nicola Peltz. Peltz, best known for her role in the hit series Bates Motel, is replacing Megan Fox as the new film's leading lady. Peltz will play Mark Wahlberg’s teenage daughter.
A new series of behind the scene clips of Transformers 4: The Age of Extinction has been released by Entertainment Tonight. In the five minute video, we get an exclusive look at some of the new movie's massive (and seemingly constant) explosions. The newest flick in the franchise reportedly has a much more serious tone, as Michael Bay told Yahoo Movies UK a few weeks back:
“I wanted the first Transformers to be very suburban and less cool. This is a much more cinematic one. I focused on keeping this one slick. There won’t be any goofiness in this one. We went a bit too goofy [on the last one]. This movie lives in the history of the Transformers movies, and this one starts three years after the last. It feels fresh.”
In the new behind the scenes video, we also get an extended look at Bates Motel starlet, Nicola Peltz. Peltz stars as Mark Wahlberg's young daughter, who is forced to go on an epic adventure with her dad and the secret boyfriend that she has been keeping from him.
Mark Wahlberg recently opened up about how Michael Bay roped him into the new film, when he was interviewed by Jay Leno earlier in the year:
“We’re doing a complete reboot of the Transformers. I did a movie with Michael Bay called Pain and Gain, which comes out in April. And we had an amazing time together and really hit it off, and he said ‘Hey, you want to do this other little movie I’m doing?’ Because that was a little movie, and I said ‘Yeah, I like doing little movies.' And he said Transformers. Whoa! You know what, we had such a great experience, I’m in.”
