Production of 2015’s Man of Steel sequel, tentatively titled Batman Vs Superman, has already begun, and rumors are flying about who will be the villain. Of course, Lex Luther’s name has been thrown around, however, the real question is who should play the billionaire bad guy. Superman might be facing a more dangerous threat, as new rumors suggest Doomsday might appear in the new film.
Earlier in the fall, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and superfan Kevin Smith let slip that Lex Luthor will be in the film, when Snyder told reporters:
"At its core, Superman is an alien. He comes from an alien world...Lex loves to call him an alien."
Kevin Smith also confirmed the news, adding "That's a spoiler, folks."
However, Superman might have a bigger threat to worry about.
Warner Brothers producer and Hitman director Daniel Alter recently tweeted a possible plot spoiler for the film, when he wrote:
“Need to talk to some people tnite about #doomsday in #BatmanvsSuperman”
Meanwhile, Alter’s other prediction that Wonder Woman would be in the new film came true, when Zack released a statement confirming that Israeli actress Gal Gadot will be playing the part:
"Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."
