Warning: Spoilers for Arrow’s mid-season finale follow. If you haven’t seen the latest episode of the hit CW series, then what are you waiting for? Arrow is one of the most buzzed about series today. The hit superhero drama keeps expanding further and further into the DC universe. Now it has been revealed that a new villain will be waiting, when the series returns for the second half of Season 2. Hunger Games Mockingjay actor Robert Knepper will join the cast as the Clock King. Will CK also join the Suicide Squad?
A few weeks back, we were introduced to Amanda Waller's Task Force X, A.K.A. the Suicide Squad. In the comic books, the Suicide Squad is a group of criminals freed from prison by the government. In exchange for their freedom, the prisoners agree to go on a series of top-secret missions for the government. The missions are highly dangerous and often life threatening, hinting at the name Sucide Squad.
The series introduced us to Waller a few weeks back, and we have already met Squad members Deadshot, Count Vertigo and Bronze Tiger. Now the show is planning to introduce the Clock King into the fold. Hunger Games Mockingjay actor and Heroes TV series veteran, Robert Knepper, will be joining the cast as The Clock King.
The Clock King has been around since the 1960s, when he appeared in The World’s Finest #111. The Clock King goes by the alias William Tockman or Tempus Fugit, as he is known in Batman: The Animated Series. The Clock King has no powers but has perfect timing and a spot on internal clock.
Arrow returns to the CW on January 15. What do you think about the idea of a Suicide Squad spin-off series? Let us know in the comments section below.
