Joseph Gordon-Levitt Signs on to DC’s ‘Sandman,’ Talks Lady Gaga In ‘Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s name has been thrown about for nearly every superhero film, since he starred in The Dark Knight Rises. Rumor had it that Levitt was going to star in everything from Ant-Man to Guardians of the Galaxy. It was even reported that JGL would reprise his role (sort of) as Robin in the upcoming Batman Vs Superman movie. However, Levitt has said no to every hero flick that he has been “attached too.” Luckily for fans, there are two comic book films that Levitt has signed on for. Levitt will star in the upcoming Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For alongside pop-sensation, Lady Gaga. Levitt will also reunite with TDKR’s writer David Goyer in DC’s Sandman. Levitt will not only star in the film but it has been reported that he will also produce and possibly direct.

The internet might be divided about Ben Affleck playing Batman but almost everyone can agree that they want to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in another comic book movie. Despite the fact that Levitt’s last outing in the superhero genre was the horribly written Dark Knight Rises. ( Guess what internet? Looper wasn’t that great either). Now the cracker jack team of Levitt and Goyer are reuniting in DC Vertigo’s Sandman.

Levitt recently confirmed the rumors by tweeting:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I'm incredibly honored to be working with David Goyer, Warner Bros, and @neilhimself on SANDMAN. #Prelude”

Meanwhile, Levitt can also be seen in the upcoming Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For. During the film, Levitt works alongside Lady Gaga. Over the summer, Levitt spoke with Jam'n 94.5 about working with the pop-princess:

"She was in Sin City 2. I did a part for [it]. Mr. Rodriguez asked me to be in, and Lady Gaga is in a scene of it. And I gotta say, she did a really good job. Like, she's a great actress. And I didn't know that. You know she came in and I was like, 'OK sure, they're having a huge pop star do a scene in the movie, I understand.' But then she came in and like, nailed it! She had her character down, and she was like a total pro and did a great job. I was really impressed. So it was good to see her again [at the VMAs]."
