Ariana Grande Reunites with ‘Victorious’ Liz Gillies After Victoria Justice Feud and Way Lyrics Lawsuit Update

Ariana Grande may but one of the hottest young stars of the day, but she isn’t winning many friends. The young actress/singer has been linked to many feuds, including ones with Selena Gomez, her ex Jai Brooks and her former co-star Victoria Justice. Now Grande is being sued over lyrics from her hit song, "The Way." However, Grande, does have a few friends on her side. Grande is reuniting with her former Victorious and 13 co-star Liz Gillies on the set of her new show, Sam and Cat. The pair have also teamed up for a cover of the Christmas classic “Santa Baby.”

Ariana Grande is reuniting with her Victorious co-star Liz Gillies in both a brand new hour-long episode of Sam and Cat and a cover of the Christmas classic “Santa Baby.” Grande and Gillies first worked together on Broadway in 13. They then went on to join the cast of Nickelodeon's Victorious before Grande got her own spin-off series.

Many fans blamed Grande and her new series for Victorious getting canceled. Grande finally spoke out about reasons for the cancellation, earlier this year, by lashing out at a fan on her Askfm page:

“Sweetheart, the only reason Victorious ended is because 1 girl didn't want to do it. She chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour. If we had done a cast tour, Nickelodeon would have ordered another season of Victorious while Sam & Cat filmed simultaneously, but she chose otherwise. I'm tired of this BS.”

Victoria slapped back on Twitter,writing:

“Some people would throw some1 they consider a friend under the bus just 2 make themselves look good. #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew.”

That is not the only problem Grande has had to face this year. The young actress has been plagued with feuds. Now she is even facing a lawsuit over the opening lyrics to her hit song, "The Way." The suit claims the intro line for the song is very similar to The Jimmy Castor Bunch’s 1970’s hit "Troglodyte." We will bring you more on this story as it develops.
