In a recent interview, Selena Gomez opened up about her real first love...acting. These latest comments come after her high-profile breakup with Justin Bieber and rumors that she is dating George Shelley of Union J. But according to Selena, she doesn’t have a boyfriend at the moment.
Gomez sit down with Teen Vogue was a particularly revealing one. The starlet revealed that what she is most proud of is her acting career:
"Initially I wanted to quit music, but that probably isn't ever going to happen. I think I need to do more acting. I'm not super-confident in it, but acting is my first love. It's too easy for me to be in a teeny bopper movie. I like a challenge. Spring Breakers is my proudest achievement, for sure, in acting. I'm so proud of my show (Wizards of Waverly Place), too, but the movie was absolutely liberating and it was awesome."
Turns out that her first love is really acting and NOT ex Justin Bieber. In fact, the starlet makes it seem like there is no special boy in her life.
When she appeared on the Zach Sang and the Gang radio show, the singer admitted that she has only been asked out once since her high-profile breakup with the Biebs. And even then, she turned them down:
“Do you know I’ve been asked out on one date, that’s it? I’ll say what I said to that boy. I said, ‘Thank you very much, but I’m not in the place where I want to date right now.’ I’m very content with how I’ve been living my life and you know if that comes that comes, but I’m enjoying being single.”
Of course, that report varies greatly from other tabloid articles in the past. This is especially true for The Sun, who quotes a source as claiming that she hooked up with Union J’s own George Shelley:
“Everyone else left the room at 2 a.m. so they were able to spend the night together. Nobody was annoyed with George. After all, he's been pursued by one of the biggest pop stars in the world--it's any lad's dream come true.”
