Over the past couple of months, fans have been left in the dark about Randy Travis' health progress, after the musician was released from the hospital in October. All health updates were removed from his website, and reports popped up that he was paralyzed and on the brink of death. However, fans hoping to see a happier and healthier Travis, can check him out in an all new Christmas movie this weekend on Lifetime, Christmas on the Bayou. Meanwhile, Travis has reportedly filed a lawsuit regarding his nude drunk driving arrest video.
Christmas time is a season of hope. Despite Travis’ dire condition, fans can remain hopeful that the legendary singer/actor will recover, when they catch a glimpse of him in better days. This week, Travis can be seen in an all new holiday movie on Lifetime, called Christmas on the Bayou. In the film, Travis plays a small town shop owner.
Meanwhile, Travis is trying to stop the release of another video. The singer was arrested for nude drunk driving last year. A video of the arrest was supposed to be destroyed, however, a court decision later decided to reverse the order, keeping the video alive. Official court documents state:
“In this case, the attorney general has opined that, while parts of the video were confidential, the remainder of the video was public information and was required to be released. By the clear language of the statute, the trial court would err by ordering relator not to produce this public information. It follows that the trial court erred by ordering relator to destroy it.”
Now Travis is reportedly filing a lawsuit to have the video destroyed once and for all. Be sure to check Travis in his fully clothed appearance in the Lifetime original movie Christmas on the Bayou, tonight at 8:00 p.m.
