‘Sam and Cat’s’ Jennette McCurdy New Song, Asks Fans to Choose Next Cover

Jennette McCurdy is becoming known for her a capella (and likely unlisted) cover songs. The actress has recorded versions of her singing everything from Adele to Miley Cyrus. Now the Sam and Cat actress has asked her fans to choose her next cover track.

Jennette McCurdy is best know for rude and crass character Sam Puckett from both Nickelodeon’s iCarly and its spin-off series Sam and Cat. However, McCurdy is showing off her softer side with a series of a capella covers on YouTube. Some of her most recent cover videos are of One Direction’s “Story of my Life,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” Lorde’s “Team” and Rihanna’s “Stay,” just to name a few.

Now, McCurdy is turning to her Twitter followers to help her decide what new cover she should do this Saturday:

“Doing a new cover on Saturday--tweet me your suggestions! This is a subtle promotion!”

McCurdy is a talented singer who specializes in the country-pop genre. She has been recording music professionally since 2009 and released a self-titled studio album in 2012.

When she isn’t making music or starring in her own sitcom, McCurdy is busy filming and posting Vines. She was recently called out for her Vine addiction. She recalled the incident via her other addiction, Twitter:

“I just got approached and asked if I was "that famous viner". I either feel terrible or great about this but I haven't decided yet.”

McCurdy is more than just a pretty face, a talented actress and an amazing singer. The young starlet often contributes essays to print publications, such as the Wall Street Journal.
