Amanda Bynes Schizophrenia Getting Better: Applying to Fashion School After Mental Health Breakdown [RUMORS]

Well, it looks like Amanda Bynes’ schizophrenia is getting better. According to a new report, the starlet is applying to fashion school, following her public mental health breakdown.

Things have really turned around for Amanda, following her court-ordered rehab. The former child star seemed happy and healthy, as she went to Disneyland with her parents.

Just 24 hours after celebrating, the actress found herself touring the campus of a fashion school. According to a report by E! News, she may be attending the college soon:

“A day after going to Disneyland with her parents, Amanda Bynes visited the Orange County campus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising on Wednesday and took a tour of the school.A source exclusively tells E! News that the 27-year-old actress, who just returned home last week after several months in treatment, wore jeans and a floral-print shirt, sunglasses shielding her face and her hair pulled up in a ponytail.”

It makes sense that Amanda would apply to the institute, considering how much she painted in rehab. According to an insider who spoke with Star, art really had a positive impact on the celebrity:

“Amanda paints nonstop. It’s helped get her focus and confidence back. She’s finding herself again in such a beautiful way. Her progress is just incredible!”

This isn’t the only indication that Amanda’s health is improving. According to a new report by TMZ, Bynes was recently declared mentally fit enough to stand trial for her DUI charges. According to documents obtained by the gossip site:

“Amanda Bynes is mentally capable of understanding the nature of the criminal charges she faces, and as a result the road is now clear for her to stand trial for DUI. Amanda's case was in Mental Health Court this AM, and the judge read the court-ordered medical evaluation of the actress, and determined she is now competent to face the DUI charges.”
