Ariana Grande may have moved on to her own sitcom, Sam and Cat, but she isn’t leaving her friends at Hollywood Arts High School behind. The starlet is reuniting with her Victorious co-star Liz Gillies in a brand new single for her Holiday EP Christmas Kisses. The girlfriends cover the classic “Santa Baby.” Meanwhile, the pair will also appear together in an upcoming hour-long special episode of Sam and Cat.
Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies are working together once again. The girls both got their start together on Broadway in 13, before moving on to their hit Nickelodeon series Victorious. After the popular show was cancelled, Grande went on to star in the spin-off crossover series Sam and Cat. It was recently announced that Gillies will guest star in a very special hour long reunion episode.
A synopses for the episode has been offered up by the website J-14, stating:
"When Sam meets Cat's friend Jade from Hollywood Arts, Sam and Jade become friends, leaving Cat feeling a little left out. Taking some questionable advice from Nona, Cat decides to retaliate by 'stealing' a friend of Sam's--and it's Freddie Benson! As Cat tries to get cozy with Freddie, Sam finds out and goes after a friend of Cat's--Robbie Shapiro! The jealousy comes to a crashing climax at Fisherman's Wharf, where Dice has hired Sam to jump her motorcycle over a tank full of vicious man-biting tuna."
There is still no known release date for the episode.
Meanwhile, Grande is releasing a brand new Holiday E.P. The new album, called Christmas Kisses, contains Grande’s cover of the Wham hit, “Last Christmas.” Now Grande and Gillies also covered the Christmas classic “Santa Baby.”
What do you think about how the new E.P. is shaping up?
