New 'Transformers 4' Video Reveals Plot Details and 'G.I. Joe 3' Channing Tatum Return Rumors [SPOILERS]

A new series of videos from Transformers 4: Age of Extinction has been released, revealing new plot details for the film. In other Hasbro news, G.I. Joe 3 is reportedly in production, and it is rumored that Channing Tatum may be making a return. Warning Spoilers Ahead!

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is easily one of the most highly anticipated new films of 2014. The movie will serve as a sort of soft reboot for the franchise. Director Michael Bay will be stepping down from the chair after the new flick, but before he goes, he is looking to fix the direction of the series. Bay recently spoke to Yahoo! Movies UK about the changes in store:

“I wanted the first Transformers to be very suburban and less cool. This is a much more cinematic one. I focused on keeping this one slick. There won’t be any goofiness in this one. We went a bit too goofy [on the last one]. This movie lives in the history of the Transformers movies, and this one starts three years after the last. It feels fresh.”

A new series of interviews with Transformers producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura have been released from M1905, an Asian video site. The videos give brand new plot details for the films. Check them out courtesy of Tformers.com.

Speaking of beloved 80s cartoons, G.I. Joe is reportedly in the works. G.I Joe Retaliation and Zombieland (the TV series) writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick previously spoke about the future of the franchise. Over the summer, Wernick spoke with IGN about some of the new plans for the trilogy, saying that they were planning to “resurrect the Baroness like a zombie.”

It has also been rumored that the film franchise plans to resurrect Channing Tatum’s Duke. Duke was killed off in the first act of the second film. However, Tatum is a name that the franchise can not afford to lose.
