Bethenny Frankel, founder of the Skinnygirl alcohol line, recently sat down with Dina Eastwood, where the ladies opened up about divorce. Dina addressed her breakup with Clint Eastwood and all of those pesky cheating rumors.
If one person is capable of understanding what it’s like to go through a divorce, it’s likely Bethenny Frankel. Her high-profile breakup with Jason Hoppy is still the fodder of tabloids across the nation.
So it makes sense that the two (former) housewives would chat about the end of their marriages. When asked if there was ever a chance of rekindling her relationship with Clint, Dina responded:
“That is why I filed for divorce. I think maybe a part of me was holding out, like 'What are we doing here?' Then there have been some definite signs that we're not going to get back together so let's move on amicably is my opinion, but I think there is a mental chokehold on you when you don't have something in place that shows you are definitely apart."
Dina also took time to address all of the cheating rumors out there. According to Dina, neither she nor Clint could be guilty of cheating, considering that the two were separated for so long:
“I don't think you can call any infidelity or cheating or anything like that when we are already living separately, same house, but separately you're living estranged so I have no intention of ever saying that, no.”
This interview seems in line with others she has given, including the NY Daily News. Over the summer, she told the publication that her 17-year marriage ended over a year ago:
“The former TV news reporter said that she and her husband remain close but have been living apart for a while. A source tells the gossip magazine that the pair broke up in June 2012. The two had not been photographed together in public since 2011.”
What do you think about Dina’s statements? Do you think the cheating allegations are true? Would you feel comfortable discussing your separation on national TV and with the press?
