‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Plot Details, Sinister Six Sequel Update and Black Cat Rumors

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is on the way, and from the looks of the brand new trailer, it is going to be action packed. Spider-Man is facing off against several bad guys in the new film. From Jamie Foxx’s Electro to Paul Giamatti’s Rhino and Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn, it looks like the Sinister Six might be growing. That means that Spider-Man might need a little help from his friends. Could that mean that we might see Black Cat in the next film? Sony’s official synopsis for the new film gives away a few plot details:

“It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.”

With the plethora of villains already confirmed, Spider-Man is going to have his webbed hands full. In addition to Electro, Rhino and Green Goblin, a few other villains are alluded to in the trailer. Doc Ock’s tentacles and The Vulture’s wings are on display in the new video. Could the franchise be heading towards the Sinister Six?

In the comics, The Sinister Six has consisted of a revolving roster of Spider-Man's deadliest villains. Paul Giamatti and Chris Cooper have both confirmed that they will return in The Amazing Spider-Man 3. With the increased number of bad guys on the scene, Spidey is going to need a little help. Could we see one of Spider-Man’s allies by his side in the next film. Who would you like to see join in on the fight? Blackcat? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
