“Roar’s” own Katy Perry is rumored to be engaged to John Mayer. While no wedding plans have been announced, the pop princess did make headlines for discussing her first breakup with the sexy singer.
In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Perry opened up about breaking up with John for the first time. Turns out she needed a break in order to process her divorce from Russell Brand:
"I took a break from my boyfriend, not one that I wanted. It was like a splash of cold water to search inward on what was going on with me. That is what let (sic) me to this new awakening, this realising, 'If I don't do some self-love, I'm not going to be able to keep the love that I want.' I still needed to deal with all of my ex-husband stuff. I hadn't. It's almost like if I kept talking about it, it would seem like I actually cared about it. I don't."
Of course, Perry didn’t comment about her alleged engagement to John Mayer. Recently, the NY Daily News claims to have caught John eying an engagement rings:
“Bluesman John Mayer has been looking at rings for ‘Roar’ singer Katy Perry, who he started dating again in July after a three-month break. US Weekly’s ‘Hot Stuff’ column reports that Mayer is getting ready to pop the question to his pop-star girlfriend and his mom likes it. ‘She approves of Katy,’ a source tells the mag, adding, “and he wants to do it soon because his dad is 86.’”
They aren’t the only ones playing the guessing game. This is especially true when it comes to U.S. tabloid Star. According to a source who spoke with the magazine:
“Things are going full-steam ahead for John and Katy. As everyone knows, they’ve had their rough spots, but it’s all ironed out and things are just wonderful for them right now. They couldn’t be more in love.”
