Looks like Brody Jenner, of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame, and Lauren Conrad , who is now engaged, may once again be friends with Heidi and Spencer Pratt. These latest claims follow some pretty controversial comments Brody made in regards to the divorce of Bruce and Kris Jenner.
Heidi and Spencer are known for their strong--if uniformed--opinions. This time is no different, as Heidi informed People (via Zap2It) that she thinks her relationship with Lauren Conrad is just fine:
"I've talked to [Lauren] a few times on the phone and we've caught up. She's been really sweet. The last time we talked was like a year ago. I lost her number so I haven't been able to call her [recently]. I told her I got really caught up and I was sorry about how things happened. I told her I miss her and she told me she'd always be there for me."
Spencer, on the other hand, seemed more realistic with his assertions. In fact, it would appear that the reality star has gained some clarity with time:
“I turned on [Brody] for just being the nice guy that he is. I wish I'd handled that differently. I abandoned him and our friendship and we were such best friends. I got caught up in 'my character.' Thankfully he has such a forgiving heart and we're back to being great friends. He's always been there for me."
Of course, the Pratts aren’t the only ones generating buzz with their comments. Brody made headlines over the summer, when he spoke with NOW. Jenner shocked the world when he revealed that it was difficult for him to trust Kris:
“My relationship [with Kris] is getting better now, but for a long time growing up I didn’t see her that much and didn’t trust her intentions. We didn’t have the best relationship--not just with her, with my father Bruce, too.”
He then went on to confirm that the couple were separated, but indicated that they were not getting a divorce:
“I stay out of their business, but as far as I’m concerned, they haven’t split up. Dad’s been in Malibu--he grew up out here--and the press has made a big deal of it. It’s nothing to do with them breaking up.”
