The new Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer has been released, and your friendly neighborhood webslinger has his work cut out for him. The new clips give the world a good look at the film's villains: Green Goblin, Rhino and Electro. The trailer also hints at a few surprise baddies, such as Doc Ock and The Vulture.
True believers everywhere rejoice, the brand new Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer has just been released and it is action packed. The film promises to bring down the house with the appearance of three major villains. Jamie Foxx takes on the role as the main antagonist Electro. However, Chris Cooper and Paul Giamatti also round out the threat as The Green Goblin and Rhino.
In the trailer, Norman Osborn, played by Chris Cooper, is bedridden. We learned that Osborn was ill in the first film and now we get to see just how bad off he is. Cooper recently spoke with MTV about the role:
"'[Amazing] Spider-Man 2' was an introduction to Norman, and--you'll see--an extremely odd introduction, which apparently will lead to something more...They sent me some material. But they said also that this Spider-Man is its own Spider-Man. We're just kind of starting from the beginning."
The trailer also gives us a good look at Paul Giamatti's Rhino. Giamatti recently spoke to The Toronto Sun about the his brand new suit:
"In the comic books of old, he had this suit on that made him look like a rhinoceros, and it made him super strong. If there was a bank vault he would just run right through it. Butt through it with his head. And he was not very smart...I have a particular kind of suit, but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster. Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things. My accent is pretty hammy. I loved doing it. it seemed to me like an opportunity to be as over-the-top hammy as possible. It was really fun."
