Mega Millions and Powerball Lottery Jackpot Totals For Friday and Saturday Reach $400 Million

This weekend's Mega Millions and Powerball lottery drawing totals have been announced. The combined prize for both Friday and Saturday’s games has reached almost $400 million.

The Mega Millions lottery drawing is pushing $300 million. Friday’s Jackpot totals in at $291 million with a cash value of $157 mil.

The Mega Millions lottery is giving away millions each and every week including a $3 million prize claimed November 22. The official MM site tells the winners tale:

“Everette Sloop Jr. of Rockwell in Rowan County is the first player in the country to win $3 million playing the new Mega Millions game.

Sloop’s Quick Pick ticket matched all five white balls but not the Mega Ball in Friday’s drawing. Because he added the $1 Megaplier feature and the Megaplier in the drawing was 3X, the ticket was worth $3 million.

Sloop was sitting in his car on Saturday morning when he learned of his win, which beat odds of one in 18.4 million.”

Meanwhile, the Powerball Lottery is back up to the $100 million mark with a cast value of $56.1 Million Cash Value for Saturday’s drawing. The Powerball Website is also reporting on a small scale winner.

“Jerry Wells of Lincoln recently won $1 million playing Nebraska Powerball.

“Wells purchased his winning Powerball ticket at Roc's Stop & Shop, 2100 South 56th Street in Lincoln. The two-play ticket contained one play with all five winning white ball numbers (4, 18, 23, 32, 45) for a corresponding prize of $1 million.

“While claiming his prize on November 26, Wells told Nebraska Lottery officials that he selects his Powerball numbers using a combination of birthdays, ages, and the jersey numbers of favorite athletes. He learned he had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. ‘When I saw the numbers come up the first thought that went through my mind was, 'Those numbers look familiar,' said Wells. ‘I was disappointed for a second because I didn't match the Powerball number for the jackpot, but then I realized I'd won a million dollars.’ He plans to pay bills and invest for the future using his winnings. ‘I've often dreamed of winning and what I'd do if I did win,’ said Wells. ‘I am truly blessed and very thankful.’”

Best of luck to you always.
