Singer Chris Brown’s violent past is starting to catch up with him. The rapper just recently had to miss the release of new album X, after being ordered to rehab for three months. Meanwhile, the rapper is facing a lawsuit stemming from his homophobic assault on Frank Ocean’s cousin.
Last month, Chris Brown checked himself out of rehab only to be sent right back in. The rapper was in treatment for anger management following his most recent arrest for assault. While he was in rehab, Brown allegedly threw a rock through his mother's car window during a visit. The official documents about the incident state:
"Mr. Brown proceeded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and it shattered."
Following the incident, Brown was ordered to undergo three months of treatment. TMZ reported that Brown allegedly tried to take his weed into rehab with him. Brown was ultimately denied the use of his “medicine,” however, he did receive a visit from from his girlfriend.
At the beginning of the year, Chris Brown and the openly bi-sexual singer, Frank Ocean, got into a fight over a parking spot. A brawl broke out between the two rappers' entourages. No charges were filed, but two lawsuits have ensued as a result. During the brawl, members of Brown's entourage allegedly fired off anti-gay slurs at Ocean. Ocean’s cousin, Sha'Keir Duarte, is now suing Breezy for over $3 million in damages.
While Brown is known for his crimes of passion, this supposed hate crime is not his only anti-gay remark. Brown even incurred the wrath of openly gay blogger, Perez Hilton, when he appeared on the Wendy Williams Show:
“Chris Brown has a disease. His disease is he has half a brain. I really think he has half of brain. It’s not working properly.”
Brown fired back with a tweet:
“Can’t take advice from 2 buff chicks when one can’t stand to look at herself without plastic surgery and the other is forever on his period.”
