On April 29, 2011, a global audience tuned in to witness Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding ceremony held at Westminster Abbey.

After the grand public ceremony, the couple hosted two intimate gatherings to celebrate their union, with the events reflecting their personal tastes.

The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly had a surprise finale planned that left their guests in awe-a final dance that captured the attention of everyone present.

Sources suggest they waited until the end of the evening to reveal their special treat, which allegedly left guests amazed and brought a memorable conclusion to the royal day.

Royal expert Robert Jobson recounted how a guest described the festivities, labeling it as "the most magical party imaginable," ending in a truly remarkable fashion.

Only close friends of the couple were invited to the reception.

Prince William and Kate's Grease Moment

In his book "Catherine: The Princess of Wales," Jobson detailed, via People magazine, "They stood holding hands in the middle of the dance floor grinning, then suddenly the opening bars of the song 'You're the One That I Want' from the musical Grease came booming out."

"William and Catherine then began dancing around, pointing at each other, and mouthing the words with the style of the lead characters Danny and Sandy. It brought the house down."

Despite not expressing a particular interest in musicals, Middleton has demonstrated her love for music through her piano recitals and festive holiday performances. It is worth noting that the lead actors of "Grease" had unique connections with royalty.

Back in 1985, a memorable moment was captured when John Travolta shared a dance with Princess Diana during a White House reception. Travolta reflected on the experience, calling it as an important highlight in his life. Additionally, in 2020, Olivia Newton-John received the title of damehood, the most esteemed recognition in the British system.
