‘Arrow’ New Episode Featuring The Flash, Deathstroke and Brother Blood [SPOILERS]

Tonight is the night that The Flash debuts on Arrow. The long-awaited superhero crossover is just one of the many events that the series is building towards, including the fate of Deathstroke and Brother Blood’s mysterious miracle drug. Warning Spoilers Ahead.

In tonight's all new episode of Arrow, Barry Allen, aka The Flash, comes to Starling City. The show has been teasing Central City’s dangerous particle accelerator all season long. It looks like tonight we will finally see that come to a head.

Glee’s Grant Gustin has been cast as Allen. Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke with E! News about casting a younger actor to play The Flash:

"It wasn't entirely the plan. I think what we really wanted and what we really were firm about was we weren't looking for another Stephen. There isn't another Stephen...Stephen doesn't need a bolt of lightning to be a superhero, he just is. We didn't want to copy that because we feel like we already have that. It was very important for us to find somebody who did need a bolt of lightning to become a superhero. But at the same time, could actually stand up to Stephen. He's 25 and out of college and working, but people don't necessarily take him seriously. That's something that he has a chip on his shoulder about."

Gustin's appearance on the show was supposed to serve as a backdoor pilot for a solo Flash series, however, the CW has already ordered a traditional standalone pilot.

Allen also might be moving in Arrow’s girl Felicity. Kreisberg spoke about the budding relationship:

“I think that as many people are shipping Olicity, halfway through episode 8, there are going to be just as many people shipping Bericity. They’re amazing together…we always knew Grant [Gustin] was destined to be Barry, but once we saw him and Emily [Bett Rickards] together, it was even more clear because they’re just so good together.”

Meanwhile, when we last left Starling City we saw Brother Blood successfully trying out his new miracle drug. Could this be a variation of the same miracle drug that Oliver and Shado are looking for, in order to save the badly injured Slade?
