Claims that Brittany Murphy was poisoned has her family feuding once again. As her mother and father continue to fight over her death, the situation has allegedly destroyed Ashton Kutcher.
Angelo Bertolotti, Murphy’s biological father, created a press frenzy when he claimed that his daughter was actually murdered. This was a claim that he reiterated when he appeared on Headline News:
"It's very suspicious. I feel she was poisoned and there's no question about that. She was murdered."
Angelo’s statements were in reference to a toxicology report that revealed unusually high levels of metals, commonly found in poison, that were present in Murphy’s system. Several accredited toxicologists, however, refuted these claims.
They weren’t the only ones denying that foul play occurred. Brittany’s mom adamantly denied Angelo’s comments and attacked the father of her child, when she told The Hollywood Reporter:
“I have no choice now but to come forward in the face of inexcusable efforts to smear my daughter's memory by a man who may be her biological father but was never a real father to her in her lifetime...They want to do a documentary and write a book, and this whole stunt is merely publicity to fuel their aspirations."
Regardless of who’s right, Ashton is allegedly heartbroken over the matter. According to a “source” who spoke with The (laughable) National Enquirer, the situation has left Ashton destroyed:
“Ashton’s in total shock over this...He saw Brittany two months before she passed away. She’d come in to read for a TV show he was casting, and he couldn’t get his head around it when she died...Ashton loved Brittany and thought she was an incredible talent...He’s reached out to her family and offered to help in any way he can to find the truth.”
