Joe and Teresa Giudice, of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame, spent Thanksgiving away from Melissa Gorga and their dramatic family feud. The couple’s celebration comes after a tabloid article claimed the Giudices were “legally separated,” as they prepare to battle even more fraud charges in court.
The Gorgas got as far away from the Giudices as they possibly could on Thanksgiving. The couple, along with their children, jetted over to Jamaica. When asked by the NY Daily News why she didn’t spend the family holiday with Teresa, she responded:
"We honestly haven't spent Thanksgiving together. We try to do Easter and Christmas with them. Joe and I usually go away for Thanksgiving or spend it with my family. We went to Jamaica last year, too."
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Joe and Teresa certainly didn’t look like a couple that was facing 41 different counts of fraud. In fact, they looked more like middle-agers on Spring Break.
The couple decided to give back this year, by attending The World’s Largest Disco party in New York. Proceeds generated from the event went to benefit Camp Good Days, which describes itself thusly:
“Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life challenges.”
Finally, there is some good press for Teresa and Joe, who have been blasted by the press for months. The most recent of these reports come from Star.
The sensational magazine titled the article “Legally Separated,” implying that the couple may be having marital problems. Within the article, however, it clarifies that Teresa and Joe will be represented by separate attorneys at their upcoming fraud trial. An insider tells the publication that this is a strategic move engineered by Teresa:
“She has four kids, and she feels like no judge would take a mother away from her children...At this point, their legal separation is just another attempt to avoid prison time. They feel like it’s the right decision for them both.”
