Update: HAUSER Unveils New Video for 'Serenade' From His Latest Album, 'Classic II'

Cellist HAUSER has released a new video for "Serenade"--one of the tracks from his latest album, "Classic II."

Like the rest of the music in the collection--and of its highly acclaimed predecessor, "Classic"--"Serenade" is an arrangement made by Robin Smith of a popular classical music piece, recorded by HAUSER and the London Symphony Orchestra under Robert Ziegler. The 18 works in the album include "Lullaby" based on Brahms' "Wiegenlied," Op. 49 No. 4, and "Song to the Moon" based on an aria from Dvorak's opera, Rusalka. As for "Serenade," it was based on Schubert's Ständchen, originally written as part of his Schwanengesang, D 957.

The video features HAUSER backed by stunning landscapes, in addition to Schubert's haunting melody, made even more so on cello. It is the eighth video he has released featuring tracks from "Classic II" since its launch in April this year.

Besides classical music, HAUSER has also taken on pop songs, Broadway classics, and even Latin hits. Even so, he stated that the music of "Classic" and "Classic II" is what "comes naturally" to him. "It's what I actually enjoy the most - when I come back to my roots, to the classical repertoire. When I was a little boy, this was my dream: to play with an amazing orchestra, in a good studio, on a good cello. These melodies are some of my earliest memories, when I fell in love with music." HAUSER released "Classic" shortly before the pandemic in 2020, saying "This is what the world needs." He repeated the sentiment for "Classic II," adding "The world needs this music now - more than ever."

Listeners, too, have felt the need for HAUSER's music: since the launch of his solo career with "Classic," he has amassed more than a billion audio streams and 4 billion video views worldwide. He begins his U.S. and Canada Tour on May 31, followed by a European tour starting July 6.
