Well it is official! Superman is the sexiest man alive, at least according to Glamour Uk’s new poll. Man of Steel star Henry Cavill soared above all others to reach the top of the list of the sexiest men of 2013. Right behind Cavill, in the number two spot, was Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. Thor and Avengers villain Tom Hiddleston rounded out the top three.
Move over Adam Levine, Superman has you beat, at least in the UK. Henry Cavill was recently crowned Glamour Uk’s Sexiest Man of 2013. Cavill dethroned Twilight star Robert Paterson, who previously held the title for the past four years. Cavill also bested Thor’s Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, Hunger Games’ Liam Hemsworth, Two Dr. Whos and Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.
Liam Hemsworth came in as first runner up. Fans of the Hunger Games star are sure to be upset that he was beat out by the big blue boyscout. Speaking of devoted (and upset) fans, Thor’s Tom Hiddleston’s loyal army of supporters are sure to be hating on Supes. However, Hiddleston fanatics can rest easy knowing that he will appear completely nude in his upcoming film, Only Lovers Left Alive.
In the new film, Hiddleston plays Adam, opposite Tilda Swinton’s Eve. Hiddleston recently spoke with The Daily Beast about his portrayal of the immortal rocker and his undying love:
"So much of our definition of love, as a human race, is founded upon the rock of the idea of mortality--the idea that we know we’re going to die. So, you want to find someone to share your life with because you know it’s short. But what if your life was not short? What if it was eternal? How would that change the way that you love, and the way that you see and accept your lover?"
