Acclaimed New York-based author and composer Karen Lefrak returns with a new addition to her piano meditations: her new album "Verdure," a collection of ten serenely introspective pieces inspired by a variety of flora and performed by pianist Jacques van Tuinen.
Alongside this release, Lefrak also announces her new solo piano album: "Echo," which will be out on all major streaming platforms on Aug. 2 via Naxos Music Group. Fans can expect its first advanced single release on June 7.
About Karen Lefrak's 'Verdure'
Lefrak's new musical venture invites would-be listeners to a peaceful soundscape that invokes the imagery of a tranquil and verdant garden, teeming with colorful flora like forsythia, primrose, and wisteria, among other shrubs.
Just as shown in its title track, "Verdure," which aptly means "the greenness of growing vegetation," the record captures the calm yet enthralling whimsy of nature and its beauty, with each song offering different melodic "scents."
Aiming to heighten these sonic evocations, Lefrak arranged special video pairings for each piece, with its title track featuring an image of the beautiful Hybrid Kordesii Rose dubbed "Dortmund."
