‘Today’s’ Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie Cheating Scandal After Ann Curry Feud? [RUMORS]

Rumors are flying that Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, of Today show fame, may be involved in a cheating scandal. These latest claims come after a much speculated about feud with Ann Curry.

When one thinks about Matt Lauer, they probably wouldn’t associate the veteran anchor with being controversial. The new edition of Star, however, is intent on changing that.

The often unreliable tabloid is now claiming that Matt and Savannah Guthrie may be cheating with one another. The source alleges that Annette Roque, Matt’s wife, is aware of the alleged romance and that something happened in the past between Matt and Savannah:

“Industry insiders have been buzzing about Matt and Savannah again. Annette was devastated when she learned about her husband’s interest in Savannah all those years ago; now she has new worries as whispers grow about them getting flirty once more. Given all the claims of Matt getting into cozy relationships with other women during the years they’ve been together, it’s amazing that Annette is still with him.

The source goes on to claim that Matt and Savannah were quite the item, but Matt returned to his wife. While representatives of Lauer and Guthrie have denied the tabloid’s claims, the source insists that:

“Sparks really flew between Matt and Savannah when they first met. They developed a real, intimate chemistry; and even after Matt and Annette ended that second break, he and Savannah stayed very flirty.”

Of course, the press has gotten it wrong in the past. This is especially true when it comes to Ann Curry. In an interview with Esquire, the celebrity opened up about their fake feud:

“The way the media treated what happened with Ann Curry was a disappointing learning experience. I was disappointed by the laziness of the media, the willingness to read a rumor, repeat that rumor, and treat it as a fact.”
