Hunger Games 2 stars Jennifer Lawrence (who may be engaged) and Liam Hemsworth won big at the box office this past weekend. The success comes after Hemsworth’s high-profile breakup with Bangerz own Miley Cyrus.
The newest film in the Hunger Games series really impressed at the box office over the Thanksgiving holiday. In fact, it’s the most successful film in history to release over the three-day weekend.
According to reports, the movie brought in over $75 million. This knocked Harry Potter, the previous record holder, out of the top spot.
This latest announcement comes after it was rumored that Jennifer Lawrence may be engaged to the dreamy Nicholas Hoult. But don’t expect an extravagant wedding if the rumors are true, as a source revealed to OK! Magazine:
“I don’t think there’s going to be any big announcement. They just want to slip away and get married in quiet. They’d much rather run off somewhere and marry quietly and then have a family get-together, one in Kentucky [Jennifer’s home state] and the other in London [Nicholas’ home turf]. Having a lavish Hollywood wedding is the last thing they want. Jen says planning it all and working out a guest list would drive her crazy. It would be so stressful deciding who to invite, so as not to offend anyone in Hollywood.”
Jen also started rumors that she may be pregnant, when she spoke with Your Tango. The starlet accidently misspoke and got the rumor mill spinning, as she told the interviewer:
“There's a scene where we're hanging on to a spinning clock in the middle of a river. It was hard because this wheel was going 30 miles per hour in freezing cold water. I had morning sickness.”
Jen later clarified her comments, revealing that she meant to say motion sickness.
