American band Phosphorescent recently announced thirteen support dates for indie folk band The Head and the Heart's forthcoming summer tour.
Comprising July and August dates, the series of performances will see the Matthew Houck-led band feature tracks from their new album: "Revelator," a compilation of tracks NPR has described as one of the most anticipated releases of this spring.
The new set of tour dates will kick off at the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines, Iowa, before culminating at the Cotillion in Wichita, Kansas. In addition, Phosphorescent will also perform at the XPoNential Music Festival in September.

Other Phosphorescent Performances in Support of 'Revelator'
This announcement comes on the heels of recent appearances at premiere American shows. For one, the band performed their foremost offering's title track of the same name: "Revelator" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
A clip of the performance was shared by the show's official Instagram account last April 12 where Huock can be seen laying bare his intimate and contemplative way of singing as underscored by a diversely constructed soundscape courtesy of his bandmates.
Conversely, Phosphorescent also graced the stage of CBS Saturday Morning's "Saturday Sessions," performing three songs from the record, headlining with: "The World Is Ending."
Produced by Huock himself and recorded in his Nashville studio across six months, "Revelator" marks the singer-songwriter's first album with Phosphorescent in over 6 years.
The record itself traverses themes of middle life and how an individual experiences its highs and lows, alongside the often ignored challenges that come with building a home, a marriage, or a family.
"Revelator" lays bare the plain travesties, small victories, and quiet "revelations" of middle-aged life. Check out the album yourself by clicking here, or by sampling the tracks right below.
