Giovannie and The Hired Guns Announce New Album ‘Land of the Lost’ and Shares Sexy Lead Single ‘Chiquita’

Today, April 22, Giovannie and The Hired Guns announce their new album: "Land of the Lost," out on Sept. 13 through Tejano Punk Boyz/Crush South/Warner Music Nashville. Commemorating the news, the band also released their spunky rock-out single: "Chiquita."

The new song sets the tone for the band and affirms their identity as a Texas-based band, blaring out unapologetically with a rambunctious genre mix of Latin, disco, and overdrive rock. Alongside its arrival, the band shares an official visualizer video.

Also, this upcoming summer, the group is slated to kick off a tour across the West, including stops in Dallas, Colorado Springs, Seattle, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and more. For the full tour routing, click here.

About 'Chiquita' by Giovannie and The Hired Guns

Of their new banger, band leader Giovannie Yanez said: "We set out writing 'Chiquita' as this sexy song, and it turned out just how we wanted it to. It was really fun to make-all the guys in the band jammed out really hard, and it was awesome."

"This song is about showing your haters that you're going to make it, one way or another," he added.

This particular track is one of twelve belonging to the band's forthcoming record: "Land of the Lost," which is produced by Johnny K, who has worked with the likes of Megadeth, Disturbed, Sevendust, and Plain White T's.

Marking the band's fourth full-length album and second LP under Warner Music Nashville through a first-of-its-kind partnership with Warner Music Latina, the new record sees Yanez and his bandmates push through new sonic and songwriting boundaries.

That said, "Land of the Lost" is not an overhaul in terms of the band's sonic identity, as it finds the band doubling down on the freewheeling approach they committed to in their early days as a musical act.

"From the beginning, I told the guys not to worry about sounding too rock or too country on this record," Yanez recalls. "We just went in there and had fun and didn't let anything hold us back, and because of that the album shows the full range of what we can do as a band."

You can now experience this unadulterated "fun" in their new single: "Chiquita," now available for streaming by clicking here. You can also watch its official visualizer right below.
