Lin-Manuel Miranda's global musical hit "Hamilton" is set to make a grand return in Sydney, Australia later this year with previous lead Jason Arrow reprising his role as the titular character: Alexander Hamilton.
The stage show will run a limited engagement at the Sydney Lyric Theatre starting on July 30 and will culminate in the latter part of October this year. According to the production's website, Sydney is the only city where the musical will play before exiting the country once more.

The hip-hop, historical musical held its inaugural Australian run at the Sydney venue in March 2021 and eventually toured across Melbourne and Brisbane, before concluding in New Zealand in June.
"We know we have so much unfinished business left with Sydney and we can't wait to get back to "Hamilton's" original Australian home, " said Hamilton's original producer Jeffrey Seller. " This cast is truly something special with people you will remember and some incredible new talent the team has found."
Callan Purcell will act opposite Arrow as Aaron Burr following his appearances in the Brisbane and Auckland shows. Also returning are Akina Edmonds as Angelica Schuyler, Elandrah Eramiha as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, and Brent Hill as King George.
In contrast, making their show debuts are Vidya Makan as Eliza Hamilton, Gerard-Luke Malgas as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Etuate Lutui as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Googoorewon Knox as George Washington.
Tainga Savage is among the returning cast, first performing in the original Australian and international tour company and now he is stepping into a main cast role as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.
Completing the company for the upcoming production are Claire Abaijah-Griffin, Celine Cleveland, Lachlan Dearing, Winston Hillyer, Indigo Hunt, Marcus John, Julian Kuo, Iosefa Laga'aia, Ashton Lash, Terrance Martin, Avigalle Mendoza, Sebaga Neumann, Bronson Pfeiler, Joshua Rivera, Wesley Ryan, Emmy Saheki, Trevor Santos, Sean Sinclair, Dayton Tavares, Anusha Thomas, and William Tukia-Edwards.
"Hamilton Australia" is produced by Seller, Sander Jacobs, The Public Theater, Jill Furman, and Michael Cassel.
