Following a four-year delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the cast of the "Hello, Dolly!" revival is finally complete with the addition of four-time Olivier winner Imelda Staunton playing the titular role of matchmaker Dolly Gallagher Levi in the classic Jerry Herman-Michael Stewart musical.
Originally scheduled for a premiere at the Adelphi Theatre in London back in August 2020 before being pushed back by the lockdowns, the production is now slated for a limited run at the London Palladium this coming summer.
Fresh off of portraying the late Queen Elizabeth II in the last two seasons of the hit Netflix series: "The Crown," Staunton will once again be acting under the direction of Dominic Cooke, who directed her in the critically successful National Theatre production of "Follies."
Performances for the musical revival will start on July 6 and will continue through Sept. 14, with an opening night scheduled for July 18.
