'Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier's' New Villain is Captain America, Shield Tops Toys to Avoid

Captain America has faced off against his fair share of villains in his day. However, Cap's biggest threat might actually be Cap himself. It turns out that Captain America’s famous shield tops the list of Toys to Avoid. Meanwhile, The Winter Soldier's Frank Grillo is opening up about his role as Crossbones.

The Captain America 2 trailer heavily features Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow. In the comics, Rumlow is the alter ego of the villain Crossbones. Frank Grillo recently spoke with CraveOnline about what it was like to work on The Winter Soldier:

“For any actor, it’s huge and you really get an understanding of that when you see guys like [Robert] Redford show up to do a role. What’s happening now is I think since all the Marvel movies had such a wide range of viewers globally that you’d be crazy not to want to be involved on some level with the Marvel people. They do it like nobody else. For me it’s a great opportunity because it’s an international film. It just raises your exposure that much more.”

Grillo added that this film is only the beginning for him:

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters. It’s almost like it’s a series. It’s fun. I can’t say very much about it because Marvel’s very strict about what you’re allowed to say. The movie, we’ve seen bits of it, and it is spectacular.”

Despite all his villains, Captain America himself might be the biggest threat to safety. The Captain America Soft Shield tops the Toys to Avoid. It turns out that Cap's shield is mostly made of lead, which is great if you want to hide something from Superman, but not so good if you are a small child.

Jenny Levin, US PIRG’s public health advocate, recently told reporters about the toys on the list, saying:

“We need to protect our littlest consumers from dangerous toys. Unfortunately, some toys with (excessive levels of lead) are slipping through the cracks”
