'Batman Vs Superman' Meets Aquaman, 'Arrow’s' Stephen Amell Joins Justice League?

DC’s Batman Vs Superman is about to begin filming and new rumors are popping up that Aquaman might be joining The World's Finest. There has even been talk that Arrow’s Stephen Amell might be joining the Justice League.

DC Entertainment’s chief creative officer, Geoff Johns, recently told Variety about the plans to make an Aquaman movie.

“He’s a priority character for the company...There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the most well-known characters among super-heroes, and in popular culture...We are finding new areas in the ocean every day. It’s as alien as going to outer space.”

Johns also added they jhave their work cut out for them:

“He became a little bit of a joke. Suddenly, he was nobody’s favorite superhero.”

However, he added that things are starting to turn around for the character, “He’s a character that we talk quite a bit about.”

Author Peter Coogan also spoke about Aquaman’s main issue:

“Aquaman’s root problem is that he’s boring...In many ways, he suffers from the problems that plague King Arthur as a main character. Which is why most Arthurian stories are not about Arthur but about his knights.”

In other DC news, Arrow producer Greg Berlanti recently spoke with Fandango about the possibilities of crossing over with the DC movie universe:

"We haven’t had any of those conversations other than to say, what characters are we allowed to use this year and advocate or request certain ones that are of interest to us. And every now and then, they’ll say, ‘You can’t have that guy.’ They don’t say why, and we figure out why later on."

Stephen Amell spoke with Digital Spy, where he teased the idea of The Green Arrow joining the Justice League:

"I'd sweep their floors. Any opportunity to be a part of the Justice League movie as Green Arrow or otherwise, it would be really exciting, but it doesn't have to be a movie. We are doing a--we're working in concert with DC and the better we do, the more successful our show is, the more opportunities we're going to get to perhaps have members of the Justice League on our show."
