Kelly Clarkson, who just announced that she is pregnant, recently discussed her new baby bump. The singer also talked about why she isn’t worried about “getting fat,” as she plugged her new album, Wrapped in Red.
The beautiful Kelly Clarkson sure did make a lot of noise when she recently appeared on the Today Show. Perhaps one of the more comical moments of the interview came when she was discussing gaining weight from being pregnant. The singer told host Savannah Guthrie:
“Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can’t wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk! I’ve never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain’t nobody expectin’ that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don’t expect a lot.”
Kelly was somehow able to come across as funny and charming, despite suffering from severe morning sickness. When Savannah asked her if she was feeling well, Clarkson responded:
"Nope. I don't know why they call it morning sickness. That's my big joke right now because it's all day and all night. I am super-excited about being pregnant, though. I'm just looking forward to the second trimester...they say it's better."
Kelly also made news when she guessed about the gender of her child. According to Kelly, she will be having a girl...and science backs her up:
"No, I'm way too early. I'm way too early to know. Scientifically, I guess they say--this is going to be too much information--they say if it's later after you ovulate I guess girl sperm lasts longer than boy sperm--I don't know if that's true, my doctor told me that--and I guess mine was late. So there is a scientific reason why I think I'm having a girl."
