NBC’s 'The Blacklist' Cast Talks Mid-Season Finale Part 2 [SPOILERS]

NBC’s The Blacklist is one of the season’s hottest new TV shows. The already super-awesome series rose to a new level during the first part of the mid-season finale. Now the cast is talking about the series and what is in store for part 2. Major Spoilers Below!

Homeland’s Diego Klattenhoff stars as FBI Agent Donald Ressler. Ressler recently had a near-death run in with Ritchie Coster’s character, Anslo Garrick, in the first part of the mid-season finale. Klattenhoff spoke with Entertainment Weekly about how long he might last against Garrick:

“It’s a big, bold turn of events. [Coster is] playing a really good villain, so it looks pretty dire at certain points. He’s somebody you wish would come back on the show...We’ll see if he sticks around.”

Ryan Eggold recently spoke with Huffington Post about his mysterious character Tom:

“I just got the goods. When we shot that scene I truly didn’t know where they were going to go with Tom, but I just got a great scoop from the writers and they told me some ideas and they’re awesome. They’re very long term and they’re very ever-changing.”

Eggold also talked about shooting his very first scene with James Spader:

“That was awesome. Working with him was fantastic. He’s supremely professional and amazingly gifted, obviously. He’s just a very supportive actor. He knows what he wants to happen and he likes to have a dialogue with you. He gives a lot and is very generous. Not a lot of number ones are like that. Then, I enjoyed seeing the scene because it was an interesting experience to play a number of possibilities in that scene.”

Megan Boone, who plays Elizabeth Keen recently told The Chicago Sun Times, that working with Spader is intimidating:

"But the intimidation is helpful: If you’re playing my part and you’re not intimidated by Red Reddington, there’s something wrong. So I incorporate every feeling I have into my scenes with him. That’s what makes it honest and alive.”
