Chris Brown’s troubles are not behind him. The X rapper has been forced to return to anger management rehab after vandalizing his mother’s car. Now it is being reported that Breezy tried to take his weed into treatment with him. Even without his pot, Brown still has a lot to be thankful for. He reportedly got a Thanksgiving visit from his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
Last month, Brown checked himself into rehab. A rep for the rapper told reporters:
"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."
However, Brown ironically went into a fit of rage while in rehab, reportedly throwing a rock through his mothers car window. The official documents state:
"Mr. Brown proceeded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and it shattered."
Brown was later ordered to attend a different treatment facility for 90 days. Brown's current stay in rehab means that he will miss the release of his new album X on Dec 3. Brown also missed his court date on Monday, which has been postponed until January 8. A plea is expected in that case as Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas Cannon told the court:
"I expect a plea offer to be given to the defense in a couple of days."
Brown still has to attend a parole violation hearing, stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna. If found in violation, Brown could face four years behind bars. The probation report reads in part:
"There is much concern with the probationer's new arrest and his violent outburst that resulted in his discharge from a treatment facility.’’
Brown’s new stay in rehab means that he had to surrender his phone, however, he didn’t hand over his weed as easily. TMZ is reporting that the rapper tried to hold on to his pot when entering treatment.
Brown did manage to get one break this Thanksgiving when his girlfriend Karrueche Tran went to visit him in rehab. A source close to Tran spoke with Hollywood Life:
“It will be an emotional day...not even going to wear make-up when I go see him because it’s going to roll right off my face. She’s going to bring him a nice plate. She wants to bring him a home-cooked meal.”
