Featuring an exhilarating performance from the then-lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, "Sunset Boulevard" is approaching the last leg of its run on January 6 at London's Savoy Theatre in West End.
That said, the minimalist revival from director Jamie Lloyd is reportedly going to "follow" Scherzinger to Broadway in November of next year, as the singer "told" the "Sunset Boulevard" producers that she is committing to a six-month season in New York, according to an insider's report to Deadline.
This news comes after the American icon received the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Musical Performance for her mesmerizing portrayal of "Norma Desmond." Consequently, ES has also awarded Lloyd as Best Director.

History of 'Sunset Boulevard'
Although the recent West End musical revival of the luxurious "no holds barred" original London performance was a subtler production, it still held a degree of allure that matched its predecessor.
According to a Daily Mail report, photos taken of a "bloodied" Scherzinger during one of the curtain calls gained uproar on social media, gaining additional traction after it first opened last October 12.
All iterations of the "Sunset Boulevard" production in West End were adapted from the 1950 movie of the same name.
The film featured the legendary '50s actress Gloria Swanson as "Norman Desmond," a recluse who develops a romantic inclination with an "out-of-luck" writer, "Joe Gillis." The writer character was played by American actor William Holden, and together with Swanson, received an Academy Award nod for their portrayals
In the musical's inaugural production in London, Tony and Olivier Award-winning actress Patti Lupone played "Norma" in the world-premiere in West End, earning Lupone another Oliver nod for her role.
Later on, in LA and New York, Glenn Close took the mantle as the iconic femme recluse, and unlike her predecessor, she bagged a Tony win as the production's lead.
