John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Throw 'Mario Party,' ‘Sam and Cat’s’ Jennette McCurdy NOT Invited

Chrissy Teigen celebrated her birthday in style. The 27-year-old’s new husband, John Legend, through the model a Nintendo-themed party. Legend and Teigen dressed as Mario and Princess Peach in a Super Mario 3D World themed party. Meanwhile, Sam and Cat star Jennette McCurdy has been having a Mario Party of her own.

Teigen recently spoke with People about her Super Mario 3D World party:

"I've wanted always wanted to dress like this. I've Tweeted incessantly about Nintendo and my love for Nintendo for a long time."

Teigen later tweeted:

“I fell asleep with my blue contacts in and everything hurts but yes nintendo party was the tits”

People asked the model if she was ready to have kids:

"I'm definitely antsy for it. My best friend just had a baby so I look at that and I'm like, this is so beautiful, so amazing …I can't wait to be the parent that I always make fun of!"

Meanwhile, the newlyweds are celebrating their first Thanksgiving as man and wife:

"This year, I've decided quality over quantity. Last year I had probably 18 different sides for 20 people. I went crazy. So this year, I'm going to keep it small: My mom's scalloped potato recipe is fantastic. It has bacon and ham cubes. John uses this Alton Brown recipe for turkey brining. And then there's this peach cobbler recipe with tapioca that's fantastic. It's nice and thick and saucy and good."

Sam and Cat star Jennette McCurdy has been having a Mario Party of her own.

McCurdy stars in a series of new commercials for Mario Party: Island Tour. Jennette has also been promoting the game on Twitter, writing:

“I love catching ghosts in Mario Party: Island Tour for #3DS. The same can't be said for my ghost-hunting friend.”

“Who's better at impersonating Nintendo characters in Mario Party: Island Tour? Me or a voice coach? Spoiler: Me!”

Jennette spoke with Just Jared about her love for video games while promoting her 2011 film, Best Player:

“I have three older brothers so it’s inevitable that I play video games. I think I would get so much flack if I wasn’t (laughs). My favorite system is Nintendo 64. But I’ve played every system. I love computer games a lot. I was always playing City of Heroes. I got really into it.”
