What You Can Expect in 'The Ally' Off-Broadway Production
The drama-filled theatrical performance revolves around the college professor Asaf, played by Radnor. After being invited to sign a seemingly simple student manifesto, Asaf gets entangled in an increasingly complicated narrative involving contradictory agendas that challenge his fundamental beliefs as a liberal, a husband, an artist, an academic, an atheist, an American, and a Jew.
As reported by Broadway World, Moses said in a statement: "I feel so extraordinarily lucky to be working with Lila, The Public, and this incredibly gifted group of actors on my play."
He continued by sharing that he started writing the script for "The Ally" because of an intrapersonal conflict to which he "did not have any clear answers". Moses added that even though he still has not figured it out completely even after completing the book years after initiating it, he couldn't ask for a braver and more talented group to delve into the uncertainty with."
Working beside Moses and Neugebauer is a production team comprising scenic designer Lael Jellinek, costume designer Sarita Fellows, light designer Reza Behjat, sound designer Bray Poor, and prop manager Claire M. Kavannah, with production stage management from Roxana Khan.
