‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Green Goblin, Electro, Rhino and Sinister Six Update, Trailer Release Date Announced

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is almost here and fans are about to get a sneak peek of Electro, Rhino and The Green Goblin, when the official trailer releases next week. Meanwhile, cast members are teasing The Sinister Six in The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Chris Cooper recently spoke with MTV about his role as the Green Goblin in the new Spider-Man movie:

"'[Amazing] Spider-Man 2' was an introduction to Norman, and--you'll see--an extremely odd introduction, which apparently will lead to something more...They sent me some material. But they said also that this Spider-Man is its own Spider-Man. We're just kind of starting from the beginning."

Paul Giamatti also spoke with MTV about the film, where he teased The Sinister-Six:

"I believe there's a lot of stage-setting for the next film. There are several villains in this movie, and some of them are more foreground and important. Jamie Foxx is and stuff. A couple of us are more hanging around the background because I think there will be a bigger deal.I don't actually know, but that seems to be what they're doing. I'm not an idiot either, but I can't claim hard and fast knowledge of this. I won't. I can't because I don't actually know, but you and I can speculate."

Jamie Foxx stars in the film as the main villain Electro. Foxx recently spoke with The Wall Street Journal about the character.

“I wanted to when I took this role, I told Marc Webb, Electro really wants to hurt Spider-Man. He hurt Max Dillon so bad in the beginning of movie, I took it a step further. Max’s mom doesn’t even remember his birthday, so that when he turns you understand why he’s so angry [at Spider-Man.] I ad libbed on the set, I ad libbed a line when Electro is getting ready to fight Spider-Man I said ‘itsy bitsy spider went up down the water spout, down came Electro and wiped the spider out.’ That alone made the whole project lift up like ‘wow, here’s a person really upset with the guy.”

The film's trailer has been announced for release on December 5.
