Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Divorce Rumors: Actress Defends AMA Absence Amid Cheating Claims [UPDATE]

Rumors are once again flying that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are headed towards divorce. The actress has since taken to Twitter, where she defended her absence from the AMAs. Her plea, however, follows months of reports that claim Timberlake is guilty of cheating.

Fans took notice when Justin arrived solo at the 2013 AMAs. Twitter and Facebook users were predicting the end of Timberlake and Biel’s new marriage, until Jessica refuted the ridiculous claims on Twitter, tweeting:

"I'm watching from home tonight. Calm down, Internet."

Divorce rumors first circulated over the summer, when tabloids ran an embarrassingly incorrect story about Justin cheating on Jessica. The story claimed that Justin hooked up with a “mystery blonde,” with whom he left a club at 2:00 a.m.

The problem?

The mystery blonde was actually his cousin, who poked fun at the tabloids on Twitter. The stunning beauty suggested that maybe she should change her name to “Mystery Blonde,” since it got her so much press.

Of course, Star took things to whole other level when they reported that the 32-year-old singer kissed Thalia Ayala, after performing at the Rock in Rio Festival. Thalie, however, didn’t help matters when she posted a video to Instagram of Justin performing. She attached the words, “A childhood dream--meet Justin and have him singing a foot in front of you.”

While the story seems utterly ridiculous, the tabloid goes on to claim that Jessica was infuriated by the rumors:

“She flipped out. She’s afraid that Justin is incapable of controlling his impulses…Jess is really worried. She wants to believe that he’ll be faithful, but it’s hard to tune out all the chatter suggesting otherwise.”

What do you think about the latest chatter? Is there really trouble in paradise? Why didn’t Jessica attend the ceremony?
