‘RHONJ’ Joe and Teresa Giudice Fraud Arrest Update: Plead Not Guilty to New Charges After Collapse?

This has not been a kind year for Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Joe and Teresa Giudice. Not only were the two arrested for fraud allegations over the summer, but now they are facing new charges. The celebrity couple plead not guilty, after Teresa allegedly collapsed from the stress.

The Giudices just can’t seem to stay out of court. The celebrity couple has once-again found themselves standing in front of a judge, and once-again they claim that they are not guilty of the charges levied against them. As the New York Daily News reports:

“Authorities allege the couple prepared a mortgage loan application stating that Teresa Giudice worked as a real estate agent and made $15,000 a month. In reality, authorities say she was not employed.”

Of course, these aren’t even the most serious charges the Giudices are facing. In total, the couple has been charged with a staggering 41 counts of fraud. If convicted, Teresa and Joe could have to shell out millions of dollars in fines and fees, as well as serve 50 year sentences.

Understandably, the stress from the situation has taken it’s toll on Teresa. According to a source who spoke to Star, the anxiety actually caused Teresa to faint:

“Teresa wants everyone to think she is this tough, together Italian women, but the truth is she is scared. The night before her court appearance was too much for her to handle. She felt sick to her stomach and threw up several times before she broke down crying...When she calmed down, she forced herself to drink orange juice to get her blood sugar up.”

What do you think about the fame-obsessed family? Have the Giudices finally gone too far? Is their celebrity status being used against them?
