Chris Brown has been given a get-out-of-court free card. The rapper was recently sentenced to rehab for anger management, thus making him unavailable to appear in court. Brown was scheduled to testify before a judge today, following his most recent assault charge, but was given a reprieve because of his commitment to treatment. However, Breezy still may face jail time. The "Love More" rapper will also miss the release of his new album, X.
Last week, Chris Brown was released from rehab, only to be sent right back in. First things first, last month Chris Brown voluntarily placed himself into treatment for his anger management issues. A rep for the rapper released a statement at the time:
"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."
However, the “Love More” rapper was kicked out of rehab for having a violent outburst and ordered to enter a second treatment facility for 90-days. A section from the probation report reads:
"There is much concern with the probationer's new arrest and his violent outburst that resulted in his discharge from a treatment facility.’’
Brown was supposed to appear in court today, but his lawyers were able to get that court appearance postponed.
Brown’s most recent trip to rehab may have gotten him out of a court date, although, he will also be missing the release of his new record X. The new record is scheduled to release on December 3. The album was supposed to drop on November 19, although Brown had to postpone it. He did, however, release five tracks from the new record on the original release date. Brown first tweeted the news of the postponement, writing:
"Since we pushed the album back to December 3, on 11-19-13 ima release 5 new songs just for my fans. Love y'all."
