Gwyneth Paltrow Makes Kids Speak Spanish Only After Controversial Diet and Cheating Rumors?

Gwyneth Paltrow has made some pretty controversial parenting choices in the past, however, her latest one might not be so bad. The 41-year-old mother of two is reportedly having her kids, Moses and Apple, speak only in Spanish. This newest parenting revelation is the latest in a long line of unorthodox decisions, including allegedly forcing her kids to go on a strict diet. Meanwhile, the actress has reportedly been told to gain weight in order to change her image following the recent Vanity Fair cheating allegations.

Us Weekly is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow forced her kids to speak only in Spanish while at a wedding at Cameron Diaz house. The source told the publication:

"Gwyneth reminded them throughout the party. At one point Apple came to her table and asked, in Spanish, if she could sit on her lap!"

Paltrow reportedly wants her kids to be well rounded. She and her family recently moved to L.A from London. She is also planning to uproot the family once again before they are teens. In an interview with Red, Paltrow explains her experiment:

“I don’t want my children to be teenagers in LA. No way. I’m looking at this move to America like two years, three years tops--then we will go back. It’s part of my parenting philosophy that children should get the opportunity to reinvent themselves at a few points in their childhood to see where their strengths and weaknesses lie and to experience living in different cultures. It’s an experiment.”

Paltrow isn’t too concerned with what other parents think of her:

"It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It makes me cross. I personally think that the work-life balance for a woman should be exactly what she feels is right for her. And nobody else can set her time schedule. And nobody else can tell her how many hours a week she needs to devote to this, that or the other. f--k what anybody else says, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. That’s what we’ve got to let go of. That idea of, 'Oh god, if I don’t show up to this concert, all the other mums are going to think I’m terrible.' Well, so f------g what. When I’m with my kids, I give them everything I have. And when I’m not, I give whatever I’m doing everything I have. And that’s my balance. I’ve made it work for me, but it doesn’t matter what my specific thing is…It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It matters what you think of yourself. And what your children think…So if anyone is going to ask my advice, I’d say, do what is right for you and don’t give a s--t what anyone else thinks."

One of Paltrow’s more controversial methods has been the strict diet that she and the kids keep to. However, an unnamed source recently told Radar Online that Paltrow has been told to gain weight in order to change her image:

“It looks like she will have to undergo either some weight gain for a role that wins her Bridget Jones-style sympathy or perhaps do a play on Broadway or in London that will allow her to reconnect with her core fans. She knows there’s a problem, and is focused on fixing it. She’s completely lost the public’s sympathy with her ‘little miss perfect’ image.”
