Liv and Maddie is one the hottest new shows on the Disney Channel. The show stars 17-year-old Dove Cameron as both Liv and Maddie. In the newest episode, the twins turn 16, right before the show’s very first Christmas special. Meanwhile, Cameron’s new film, Barely Lethal, has finished filming.
The Disney Channel’s newest hit series, Liv and Maddie, is gearing up for two very special episodes. This weekend’s episode, titled “Sweet 16-A-Rooney” features the two girls turning the big one-six. Then, after the Thanksgiving holiday, the series will air its Christmas special, “Fa La La La-A-Rooney,” on Sunday, December 1.
In the series, Dove Cameron pulls double duty as both Liv and Maddie. Earlier in the year, Cameron spoke with BOP & Tiger Beat about what it is like to play two parts:
“A lot of what you will see on Liv and Maddie is organic and spontaneous. I love that we have room for creativity and input. You would think the hardest aspect of playing two polar opposite people would be the constant switching back and forth while keeping in character. Surprisingly, that’s been the easiest part!”
She added that the twins are both very different from her:
“I wouldn’t say I’m anything like Live OR Maddie. The twins have definitely inherited some of my habits i.e., Liv bites her lip, Maddie snorts when she laughs. But that’s about all the relation I have to either character.”
Meanwhile, filming has wrapped on Cameron’s new film, Barely Lethal. The movie’s IMDB page offers up the following plot synopsis:
“A 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a "normal" adolescence fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school. She quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting waterboarded.”
