Drunk Disney: 'Wizards of Waverly Place’s' Jake T. Austin and 'Captain America’s 2’s' Falcon, Anthony Mackie DUI Updates

It never seems to fail. If you are involved with a Disney project, odds are that you are going to get drunk behind the wheel. Wizards of Waverly Place star Jake T. Austin, and the newest Avenger, Captain America 2’s Falcon, Anthony Mackie, are the latest Disney stars to get a DUI.

Earlier this month, Anthony Mackie was pulled over in New York for having excessively tinted windows. It was then discovered that Mackie was drunk behind the wheel. The actor refused to take a breathalyzer and was later arrested. Anthony Mackie is scheduled to appear in Disney’s Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. Despite his recent arrest, Mackie doesn’t plan to take a back seat role in the film, telling MTV:

“It’s interesting because a lot of people equate it [Cap and Falcon's relationship] to Batman and Robin, but the reality of it is it’s more of a working relationship, a respect relationship as opposed to a leader and follower. The three of us [Steve, Sam and Natasha] work really well together...They sold me that I was the second lead in the movie, so there’s a point where Cap gets hurt, and [I] do everything for Cap. And I get the script, and… that’s not true. I get hurt, not Cap!”

Meanwhile, another former Disney employee has been caught drinking and driving. Wizards of Waverly Place’s Jake. T. Austin, joins the long line of child stars gone bad. The young actor was pulled over earlier this week for drunk driving. Austin’s attorney, Jay Jaffe, managed to get the charges reduced to speeding. However, Austin was sentenced to 24 months probation. Austin is allegedly also a suspect in multiple hit and runs.

What do you think about all the recent DUI incidents? Do you think Austin should have been offered the plea? Let us know in the comments section below.
