Mariah Carey's sister Alison Carey has begged the "We Belong Together" singer to fix their rift and save her life after she was left with mounting medical bills. The 54-year-old recorded a short video clip with a message to her younger sister, pleading for her help.
“Mariah, I love you and I desperately need your help,” Alison pleads in the short clip for Daily Mail. “Please don’t abandon me like this.”
Alison has been diagnosed as HIV positive, and needs brain and spinal surgery in order to survive after a terrifying home invasion attack in New York last April. But the bills are too much for her to handle and she needed her sister's help to afford her needs.
Their brother Morgan Carey has also called on Mariah to help save Alison.
"Mariah is the one person in the family who could actually make a real meaningful difference to Alison's life. The least she could do is put Alison in a good hospital and make sure she gets the care she needs," he said. "We're talking about small change to these people, her fiancé is a billionaire."
But the singer’s rep has denied claims that Mariah abandoned Alison during her time of need. “Through the years, Mariah has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Alison and her children,” the spokesperson explained. “In fact, Mariah has supported her extended family for over two decades.”
HollywoodLife previously reported that Mariah insisted that she’s been much more helpful than Morgan and Alison let on. “Mariah loves each and every member of her family and has a heart that’s bigger than her legendary voice,” the insider told the site. “She’s not going to address anything about her family other than the fact that she loves them all. Mimi’s taken care of Alison’s children and made sure they’ve been well-provided for for years and she’s been present in their lives.”
