Celebrity divorce rumors are flying in 2013. This week saw updates to two major A-list couples. Michael Douglas recently commented on his divorce from Catherine Zeta-Jones. Meanwhile, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have once again felt the need to deny rumors that they are splitting up.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones shocked the world when they announced that they would getting a divorce in 2013. Almost immediately after their announcement, photos were published of Michael and a young woman on vacation.
Following the release of those photos, several tabloids began claiming that Michael was guilty of adultery. Star, a popular U.S. tabloid, even claimed that the woman he was with resembled a young Catherine. According to a source:
“At first, everyone thought the woman was Catherine, especially with all the attention Michael was lavishing on her. But it wasn’t. Michael and Catherine are living totally separate lives and are powering full steam ahead with the divorce. She was gorgeous--tall, with long, dark hair pulled back in a braided ponytail and a million dollar smile. Michael seemed to be putting the moves on this woman hard-core. He must be champing at the bit to play the field again.”
Since announcing their split, the couple seems to have grown closer. A recent article in the Daily Mail asserts that Michael and Catherine are repairing their marriage. An insider told the publication:
“People kept asking [Michael] what’s been going on with Catherine. Michael said, ‘We are doing great, she's better than ever,’ and said their kids are doing great.”
Douglas, himself, recently commented on the matters, telling reporters “''I hope to resolve my marriage in a positive fashion.''
Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones aren’t alone, when it comes to the press speculating about their marriage. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill suddenly find themselves in the same company.
For months now, Tim and Faith have been battling reports that their marriage is over. The tabloids ran wild with articles claiming that Tim is gay, Faith cheated with Kenny Chesney, Tim had sex with Taylor Swift...etc.
The reports, which were utterly laughable, provoked a reaction from the couple. In a recent interview with People, Faith opened up about the recent reports and discussed the status of her marriage:
"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason. It's perplexing. I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story. We've been married 17 years, and since the first week we were married those things were out. We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it, too, so they laugh it off."
