The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley’s dance card is filling up fast. The Stefan actor recently called his co-star, Damon actor Ian Somerhalder, his girlfriend. Meanwhile, he is rumored to be dating Originals actress Phoebe Tonkin, after admitting his crush on Daniel Gillies.
Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are both competing for the top spot on TVD. They were also both rumored to be chasing after the same woman, Nina Dobrev. One might think that two men would have a bitter rivalry growing, however, it’s just the opposite. Wesley and Somerhalder are actually the best of friends.
Twitter user @illumisally recently tried to spark the rivalry by tweeting, "@iansomerhalder Paul is better than you."
Somerhalder, didn’t take the bait. Instead he simply replied, "I'm sure he is;)."
Wesley and Somerhalder have been rumored to be couple themselves, after Wesley called Somerhalder his “girlfriend” on Twitter. The two have even posted pictures of themselves holding hands and holding eachother.
However, Wesley's real man-crush was recently revealed at the EyeCon in Atlanta, when he opened up about Originals star Daniel Gillies:
"All I really care about is if Daniel Gillies likes me or not. If I was a woman, I'd be in love with Daniel Gillies. I'm not a woman and I'm in love with Daniel Gillies. He's the perfect specimen. I was watching The Originals the other day and he looked so good in that suit. He was really still on the screen and then you see that little twinkle in his eyes. Gillies, I'm telling ya, he's got that suit. I wish I could be as cool as Daniel Gillies."
In a more serious note, Wesley and Originals' star Phoebe have been spotted dating. An unnamed source told Us Weekly about the date:
"They were on a double date with Ben McKenzie and Shelley Hennig. It looked like Paul and Phoebe might have set Ben up with Shelley--seemed like a first date. Paul and Phoebe were 100% romantic--they were across the table from Ben all cozied up on the couch kissing each other. She had her head on his chest."
