Jennette McCurdy Covers Lorde’s ‘Team’ with Lyrics, New 'Sam and Cat' Episode Update [VIDEO]

There is a lot more to Jennette McCurdy then her iCarly character’s gruff antics. The actress recently showed her softer side with a cover of Lorde’s “Team,” despite not knowing the lyrics. Check out the video before this week's new episode of Sam and Cat. Meanwhile, the series is still gearing up for the upcoming iCarly and Victorious reunion crossover special.

This week’s all new episode of Sam and Cat is called "#MyPoober." The episode features the duo struggling to get a little girl to let go of her teddy bear. However, it’s the upcoming episode iCarly and Victorious reunion that has everyone talking.

J-14 has reported on the episode’s plot summary:

"When Sam meets Cat's friend Jade from Hollywood Arts, Sam and Jade become friends, leaving Cat feeling a little left out. Taking some questionable advice from Nona, Cat decides to retaliate by 'stealing' a friend of Sam's--and it's Freddie Benson! As Cat tries to get cozy with Freddie, Sam finds out and goes after a friend of Cat's--Robbie Shapiro! The jealousy comes to a crashing climax at Fisherman's Wharf, where Dice has hired Sam to jump her motorcycle over a tank full of vicious man-biting tuna."

Last month, McCurdy teased the episode when she posted a Vine titled, "Guess who's guest starring on this Sam & Cat special!!" The short clip features McCurdy jokingly mixing up Liz Gillies and Nathan Kress. McCurdy also took a stab at Bennett, calling him Andy Samberg--a joke-comparison that was often used on Victorious.

Since then, McCurdy has been hanging out with Matt Bennett. She even professed her love for the actor, via Twitter:

“Enjoyed celebrating @bonnott’s 22nd birthday last night! He’s one of the smartest, strangest, cleverest, most forward thinking people I know, and I love him for it!”
